Features of The Old Wash House
The Old Wash House is a luxurious stone barn full of character with oak beams and a wood burning stove, it was recently renovated to a very high specification. The cottage is set in a picturesque and peaceful courtyard setting. With a bedroom and bathrooms on the ground floor – so also great for visitors with mobility problems.
On the ground floor you will find…
An immaculate newly fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, Smeg fridge/freezer. Miele Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. An oak dining table with high back leather chairs, sofas and chairs set around a contemporary wood burning stove, TV and Freeview and DVD player.
Shower Room – This houses a double size shower, hand-basin and toilet. Bathroom – This houses a bath with shower over, hand-basin and toilet. Bedroom 1 – The first of the bedrooms this is a very pretty twin room along with hanging and storage space.
Up a flights of wooden stairs takes you to the second floor where you will find…
Efficient insulation and underfloor heating provided from a ground source heat pump, ensures that the barn always has hot water and as warm as toast at all times.
Bedroom 2 – The second of the twin rooms in which you will find twin beds, along with a pretty wooden wardrobe and a small dressing table and stool.
Bedroom 3 – This is the master bedroom with a King-sized bed, a wooden double wardrobe, dressing table and stool. Both bedrooms have hairdryers for use.
All new quality linen and towels are inclusive.
Cosy & Comfortable
All electricity and underfloor heating throughout the house is inclusive. With the very efficient insulation and underfloor heating which is provided from a ground source heat pump, this ensures that there is always masses of hot water and the barn can be as warm as toast at all times.
Wood burning stove with a basket of logs and sticks provided. Behind the barn is a garden table with benches along with use of a BBQ and firebowl. There is a small raised lawn which houses a rotary line, this is not enclosed.

Out and about in the local area…
The nearest village is Trecastle where you will find the nearest pub The Castle Coaching Inn which serves food (it is advisable to book ahead). This is a 10 minute walk up a quiet country road to the village. Sennybridge is 3 miles away there you will find some other places to eat including The Usk & Railway and the White House, both of which serve food. There is also a garage with a local shop where you can find most basic essentials.
Brecon and Llandovery are both located approximately 10 miles way, here you will find various shops and both house supermarkets to enable you to pick up any shopping that you will need for your stay.

A traditional bunkhouse in Trecastle, Powys - Perfect for group getaways! The old stone and oak beamed cow shed has been converted into welcoming accommodation for up to 14 people in three bedrooms, pillow and pillowcases along with a base sheet is provided, with three individual shower/toilet rooms providing plenty of hot water, shaving and hair drying facilities after a long day exploring this wonderfully interesting area.
